Cédric Charlier Velvet Dress

e in (again) this fall & winter. If you recall Fall trends from 2016, then you remember velvet making its comeback. The tone that was set from last year notebaly different, however.

This season is buzzing with eye popping colors. Intricate and sometimes romantic designs intertwined with bold, and vivacious velvets. There is room for all on this stage. Designers like Erdem, Tibi , Belgian talent Cédric Charlier and more; are paving the way and they are bringing us a lively tune. Think colorful velvet gowns and tailored suits to get a small glimpse. The versatility is effervescent, warming the senses on even the chilliest days.

Be fashion forward and don’t break the bank while doing so this season. I am a big fan of thrift stores! You can find the cutest and trendiest items for just a fraction of what you would be paying at a normal retail store. Be on the lookout for colorful velvets to warm up your wardbrobe. Now, you’ll have extra money to focus on gifts for your loved ones. Who new being so fashionable could be so effortless?

5 Vegan Thanksgiving Ideas

Being a vegan during  Thanksgiving can be rough. Not because of any scarcity in food choices. Especially, for more seasoned vegans. But for me, it’s trying to get loved ones involved. You can always do what a friend of mine did, and just leave out the part about it being a meat free dish. But, that never felt right…and my husband can always tell! Instead, why not blow their minds with these amazing recipes.

1. Vegan Mac & Cheese :

Growing up, my favorite thanksgiving dish was my mommas famous Mac & Cheese. This Baked ooey & gooey comfort food was coveted at family gatherings. Two years ago, I decided to make the big plunge from vegetarian to full vegan. My choice was fueled by where I morally stood as an animal lover and  for health reasons. Of course the first dish I had to find a revised version of was this.

2. Puff Pastry Wrapped Lentil:

Is tofurkey not really your thing? Well don’t let that stop you from going vegan for your main course. Fill your loved ones bellies with a deliciously flakey, puff pastry wrap. Each bite is filled with a soul warming pallete and all of the nutrients from the lentils sure don’t hurt either. Check the recipe out here.

3. Vegan Peach Cobbler:

If your anything like me, you love a quick desert. I love this recipe because it’s inexpensive and simple to make! Those are all great when planning a big holiday meal. Try this vegan twist on another American classic. Serve with your favorite vegan ice cream. Click here for the recipe.

4. Vegan Gravy:

Convert people to vegans or… at least weekend vegans with this mouth watering recipe. This staple is a Thanksgiving classic. You can pair it with so many dishes and it only takes 15 minutes to make. Read more here.

5. Roasted Butternut Squash:

Get a healthy serving of veggies in. Even if you choose to not go the vegan route this year. Roasted butternut squash will always be a safe and memorable classic. This recipe calls for olive oil but I’ve had success with coconut oil as well. Get it here.

These are just some of the many delicious and cruelty free options yout have this year. Did I miss one of you favorites? Leave me a comments and tell me about your favorite vegan Thanksgiving dish.

Holiday hustlin’

It’s that time of year we all love and dread. The Holidays are here and that means times with loved ones, delicious holiday food, and scrambling for a bit of extra holiday cash!  I’d like to help you free up the later half so that you can spend more free time enjoying the season. So, here is a list I compiled of ideas to get your holiday hustle on.

Let’s start the List off with one that may leave a few of you scratching your head. Shopify! Yes, that’s right. Shopify offers a 14 day free trial giving you enough time to test out their platform. Even more amazing? You can sign up for a second store if the niche you choose isn’t making you money and who doesn’t like options?

There are many different ways you can start generating money on Shopify. You could start a dropshipping site, start a blog, sell your crafts, showcase your photography, and much more. If you feel lost or as if you have too many options, no problem! Just join their Shopify-Ecommerce-University for free. They offer extensive guides, filled with useful information for new and more seasoned users alike. I am in no way affiliated with shopify. But, I have spent a fair amount of time on different ecommerce websites & this was by far the cheapest & quickest way to launch your own work at home business.

Do you enjoy talking on the phone and consider yourself a people person? Well, you might want to look into working remotely at a call center. Places like Amazon and Apple are hiring for the holidays. Both offer flexibility, hourly pay, and room for financial growth.

Amazon has a base pay of $10 an hour. You can also make more money by receiving incentives and bonuses. To be considered you must live in one of the following states:

Arizona , Florida, Texas,  Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Deleware, Tennessee, Florida, Virginia, Georgia, Wisconsin, or West  Virginia.

Apple at home is a great work at home opportunity as well. They offer an outstanding benefits package. Plus, you get to use a free i Mac while working for the company. Those are two huge perks…not to mention you get to work for Apple! Check out their website to apply ASAP. These jobs fill up quickly.

There are many creative ways for you to make extra money this season. I’d love to hear some of your ideas. Don’t be shy! Leave a comment.
